NTT DOCOMO will present its latest initiatives in applying AI to mobile networks under the concept of “AI for Network” and “Autonomous Network”. The exhibit showcases AI-driven approaches to network operations and maintenance, communication quality improvement, virtualized base station operations, and the design and deployment of 5G core networks.

This exhibit highlights DOCOMO's “Network for AI”, one of the five key values proposed for the 6G era targeted for commercialization in the 2030s. Through demonstrations featuring a concept robot for the 6G era, DOCOMO presents its technological development efforts toward a future where humans, AI, and robots coexist.

NTT DOCOMO BUSINESS will present GPU over APN, a solution leveraging the IOWN APN (All-Photonics Network) as part of its AI-Centric ICT Platform vision to enable distributed data centers. This exhibit showcases use cases demonstrating the effectiveness of sharing GPU and storage resources at high speed and low latency across sites separated by approximately 40 km, supporting applications such as AI training, AI inference, and data transfer.

Introduction of the development status of a platform service enabling remote robot operation and AI-driven autonomous control will be provided. Specifically, NTT DOCOMO will showcase the latest initiatives using low-latency communication technology for remote operation and AI-based autonomous control of robots equipped with the Real Haptics^® technology, which transmits the sensation of touch when interacting with objects. These initiatives will be presented alongside live demonstrations.

Overview of DOCOMO's new consumer AI agent, scheduled for launch around summer 2026, including its envisioned user experience and AI-agent-dedicated devices currently under consideration. The service is planned for pre-release to select users in March 2026, with the March release serving as a trial version.

An entertainment solution currently under development that uses AI and IOWN to deliver live music and sports simultaneously in real-time 3D and AR, with demonstrations.
