     NTT DoCoMo Achieves World's First 2.5Gbps Packet Transmission in 4G Field Experiment
    TOKYO, JAPAN, February 23, 2006 --- NTT DoCoMo, Inc. announced today that it achieved 2.5Gbps packet transmission in the downlink while moving at 20km/h. The fourth-generation (4G) radio access field experiment took place in Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture on December 14, 2005.

     NTT DoCoMo, Renesas, Fujitsu, Mitsubishi Electric and Sharp to Jointly Develop Platform for W-CDMA Handsets
    Tokyo, February 13, 2006 --- NTT DoCoMo, Inc., Renesas Technology Corp., Fujitsu Limited, Mitsubishi Electric Corporation and Sharp Corporation today announced that they will jointly develop a comprehensive mobile phone platform combining a single-chip LSI for dual mode handsets supporting HSDPA /W-CDMA and GSM/GPRS/EDGE, and core software such as operating systems. The new mobile phone platform will help accelerate the global adoption of W-CDMA services including FOMATM, and lower the costs of these handsets. The companies expect to have the platform developed around Q2/FY2007 (July-September).

     NTT DoCoMo Develops Prototype HSDPA Handsets
    TOKYO, JAPAN, February 1, 2006 --- NTT DoCoMo, Inc. and its eight regional subsidiaries announced today three prototype high-speed downlink packet access (HSDPA) handsets developed with Fujitsu, Motorola and NEC, respectively. DoCoMo aims to start HSDPA services sometime between July and September 2006.

     NTT DoCoMo to Increase Stake in ACCESS
    TOKYO, JAPAN, November 30, 2005 --- NTT DoCoMo, Inc. announced today that it will acquire 6,356 newly allocated shares in software company ACCESS CO., LTD. for about 15 billion yen, or 2.36 million yen per share, raising its stake from 7.12% to 11.66%. DoCoMo expects to complete this investment process on December 20, 2005.

     NTT DoCoMo to Invest in Aplix
    TOKYO, JAPAN, November 30, 2005 --- NTT DoCoMo, Inc. announced today that it will acquire 15,000 newly allocated shares, or 14.98%, of software company Aplix Corporation for 12.975 billion yen, or 865,000 yen per share. DoCoMo expects to complete this investment process on December 21, 2005. As a result, DoCoMo and its wholly owned subsidiary, DoCoMo.com, which already owns 3,000 shares, will hold a total stake of 17.98% in Aplix.

     IrSimple, a High-Speed Infrared Communications Protocol Adopted as a Global Standard
    ITX E-Globaledge Corporation (ITX-EG; Masao Nomura, President and CEO), NTT DoCoMo, Inc. (Masao Nakamura, President and CEO), Sharp Corporation (Katsuhiko Machida, President) and Waseda University (Dr. Katsuhiko Shirai, President) have jointly developed IrSimple, a high-speed wireless communications protocol using infrared. IrDA (Infrared Data Association), an industry organization that develops and standardizes specifications for infrared communications, has decided to formally adopt the protocol as its standard.

     NTT DoCoMo Enhances Prototype Micro Fuel Cell for FOMA Handsets
    TOKYO, JAPAN, July 6, 2005 --- NTT DoCoMo, Inc. announced today that the company together with Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. has developed a new and improved prototype methanol fuel cell for 3G FOMA® handsets. The new prototype enables eight hours of continuous talk time, three times the capacity of the existing prototype, while weighing the same, 190g. The new device is expected to greatly extend usage time once it goes into commercial production.

     Japanese Mobile Phone Operators Find No Scientific Evidence that Radio Waves Affect Human Cells
    TOKYO, JAPAN, April 26, 2005 --- Japan's mobile phone operators, NTT DoCoMo, Inc., KDDI Corporation, Vodafone K.K. and TU-KA Cellular Tokyo Inc. have reported interim findings that radio frequency energy from mobile phone base stations does not affect human cells.
