Below is an explanation on the procedures regarding NTT DOCOMO’s stock.
Treatment of NTT DOCOMO’s Stock After Delisting
NTT DOCOMO, INC. (the “Company”) approved the demand for a share cash-out, on November 27, 2020, made by Nippon Telephone and Telegraph Corporation, the Company’s special controlling shareholder, and its stock became delisted as of December 25, 2020. Therefore, the Company will notify the treatment of the Company’s stock following the delisting.
The Company will make cash payments to those shareholders entered or recorded in the Company’s latest shareholder registry on December 28, 2020, as follows:
Acquisition Date
December 29, 2020
Payment Date
On or after March 4, 2021.
Amount of Payment
JPY 3,900 per common stock.
Payment Method
- (1) If you have a selected bank account transfer as the method to receive dividend payment:
Payment will be made to the designated bank account. If a payment cannot be made through the designated bank account, it will be made in the manner described in (3) below. - (2) If you have opted to receive dividends through accounts at securities companies in proportion to the number of shares held in the accounts:
A payment cannot be made to accounts at securities companies because the Company’s stock has been delisted. Therefore, payments will be made in the manner described in (3) below. - (3) If you have not selected bank account transfer as the method to receive dividend payment:
①You can receive cash by submitting the “Cash Payment Receipt” the Company intends to send in or after early March, 2021, to the Japan Post Bank or the postal service window.
②Previous shareholders that are legal entities, whose payment exceed JPY 50,000, can receive a cash payment at the Japan Post Bank or the postal service window for handling such matters, by submitting the “General Cash Payment (Withdrawal Certificate)” the Japan Post Bank intends to send.
