Provision of Qualified Invoice (Invoice)
Thank you very much for your continued use of NTT DOCOMO.
We would like to inform you about the qualified invoice-based method (the invoice system) introduced in October 2023.
Details of our response will be sequentially informed in the future.
From May 2024 usage (June billing), we will change the method of providing eligible invoices for telephone charges.
The requirements for qualified invoices will be included in the monthly delivered Invoice, Account Transfer Information, and Usage Charge Information. By combining the invoice cover page with the itemized billing statement, you can use them as a qualified invoice.
Please see below for more details.
Please note that reissuing invoices due to loss or other reasons will continue to incur a reissue fee as before. Therefore, customers applying the Invoice System are requested to carefully store the itemized billing statement along with the invoice until the consumption tax deduction on purchases is completed.
For corporate customers, please refer to the Information for Corporate Customers on the same page.
For application and operation procedures, please refer to the dedicated invoice website of NTT Communications.

Change of Bills Due to the Qualified Invoice-Based Method (The Invoice System)
- The invoice system specifies that "A consumption tax is rounded once per qualified invoice and per tax rate."
- As the tax category of a consumption tax, we do not use "Individual" (consumption tax is calculated by external tax for each rate breakdown) and "Tax included" (consumption tax is calculated by external tax for each rate breakdown). Instead, we use "Combined total," which calculates a consumption tax per subscribed line, per month, and per tax rate.
Please note that we will continue to use "Exempt" as the tax category for tax-exempt charges.
- The total amount may change depending on the accounting unit of a consumption tax.
- The tax category will be changed sequentially from July bills to November bills.

- Beginning with the November 2023 bills, the bill mailed to you will show the amount of tax included for each tax rate.
