How to Access Disaster Message Board

Select (Disaster Message Board) from dmenu or the DOCOMO website.

  • Packet communications charges apply to access dmenu and the DOCOMO website.
  • The English version can be accessed from the "English" link on the Japanese Disaster Message Board Service.

How to Post Messages

How to post messages (other than for Family Discount group members)

Step 1
[1] Select (Disaster Message Board) displayed in (dmenu).
Step 2
[2] Select "English".
Step 3
[3] Select "Register Msg".
  • Messages will be saved until the service for the disaster concerned is terminated. Up to ten messages can be posted. (When more than ten messages are posted, the oldest messages are overwritten in sequence.)

[4] Select one of the four status options that best describes your current condition (e.g. "I'm okay."), or enter a comment (optional) of up to 100 full-size or 200 half-size characters, and press "Register".
  • You can select multiple status options. You can also just post a comment without selecting a status option.
  • You can also post both a status and a comment.

[5] "Registered." is displayed when posting has been completed.
If you wish to send Disaster Message Board Notification Mail, press "Send". (All "Send" boxes are selected by default.)

  1. Will be displayed if the recipients' mail addresses have been registered beforehand.
  2. Will be displayed if a Disaster Message Board Request Mail is received.

  • Click "Link to the list of those who requested to receive messages from you" to display a list of people who wish to be notified.

How to post messages (Family Discount group members)

Step 1
[1] Select "Register Msg".
  • Messages will be saved until the service for the disaster concerned is terminated. Up to ten messages can be posted. (When more than ten messages are posted, the oldest messages are overwritten in sequence.)

[2] When posting a message for the first time, select whether or not you wish to have the posted message displayed on the mobile phones of your group members.
  • You can change details set later.

[3] Select one of the four status options that best describes your current condition (e.g. "I'm okay."), or enter a comment (optional) of up to 100 full-size or 200 half-size characters, and press "Register".
  • You can post only a comment without selecting a status option. You can also select multiple status options.
  • You can also post both a status and a comment.

[1] Select (Disaster Message Board) displayed in (dmenu).
Step 2
[2] Select "English".
Step 3
[3] Select "Confirm Msg" on the Disaster Message Board screen.
Step 4
[4] Enter the mobile phone number of the person you wish to check on and select "Search".

If messages are posted

Step 5
[5] Select the message that you wish to see.
Step 6
[6] You can view the posted status and comments.

If messages are not posted

Step 5
[5] You can request a person to post a message. If you wish to do so, press "Request".

[6] "Setting was completed." is displayed when a Disaster Message Board Request Mail has been sent. However, request messages may be undelivered depending on the other party's settings and other factors.

If a message has been posted on non-DOCOMO carriers' disaster message boards (All carrier search service)

Step 5
[5] Non-DOCOMO disaster message boards are searched, and a link is displayed for any disaster message board (e.g. Company A) on which a message has been posted from the number entered.

[6] Disaster Message board of other Operator (Company "A") will be displayed.
  • Packet communications charges apply when accessing to non-Docomo Disaster Message Board services.
If you select a list item on the Disaster Message board, You can confirm the message.

About searching for safety status information posted to J-anpi and Google Person Finder

You can search for safety status information posted to J-anpi provided by NTT Resonant and Google Person Finder provided by Google from DOCOMO Disaster Message Board Service.

Step 1
[1] Select "Confirm Msg" on the Disaster Message Board screen.
Step 2
[2] Enter the whole or part of the name of the person you wish to check on and select "Search".
Step 3
[3] The links of internet providers are displayed when any safety status information has been posted.
(The screen image shows an example when there is safety status information posted to J-anpi or Google Person Finder.)

[4] When you select the link of the internet providers of safety status information, you can check the information regarding the person's status.

  • This service is not available when J-anpi or Google Person Finder is not being provided.
  • Packet communications charges apply when viewing information posted to J-anpi or Google Person Finder.

How to check on Family Discount group members

Step 1
[1] Select (Disaster Message Board) displayed in (dmenu).
Step 2
[2] Select "English".
Step 3
[3] Select "Confirm Safety of Family Discount Group Members".
  • Select "Confirm Msg" to check messages from people other than group members.
Step 4
[4] Select the phone number of the person that you wish to check on.
  • When posting status information, you can set whether or not to display the message in the list of group members.
Step 5
[5] Select the message that you wish to see.
  • The latest information is displayed at the top of the screen.
Step 6
[6] You can view the posted status and comments.

How to Set Disaster Message Board Notification Mail Recipient Addresses

Step 1
  • Actual screens may differ from those shown.

[1] Select (Customer support) from (dmenu).

  • If you are using SC-01B or T-01A, select (DOCOMO website) -> (Various settings), and proceed to [3].

[2] Select (List of settings).
Step 3
[3] Select (Disaster Message Board Notification Mail settings).
Step 4
[4] Enter your sp-mode password, and press (Enter).
Step 5
[5] Select "English".
Step 6
[6] After entering the mail addresses of those you want to notify of your status (up to five addresses), press "Select".
  • You can register Internet e-mail addresses and those of non-DOCOMO mobile phones in addition to i-mode and sp-mode addresses.
Step 7
[7] "Settings have been activated." is displayed when registration of recipients' addresses has been completed.
