How to Post Messages

How to post messages (other than for Family Discount group members)

  • This function can only be used by i-mode subscribers in areas where posting is possible.
Step 1
[1] Select "Disaster Message Board" displayed at the top of the iMenu.
Step 2
[2] Select "Register Msg" from the Disaster Message Board.
Step 3
[3] Select the condition option that describes your current situation from the four displayed ("I'm okay" etc.), and enter any comments (optional) up to 100 full-size or 200 half-size characters.
  • Messages can be entered without selecting a condition option. Also, multiple condition options may be selected.
Step 4
[4] When you press "Register", posting of the message to the message board is complete. If you wish to send Disaster Message Board Notification Mails, press "Send".
  • Messages will be saved until the service is deactivated for the individual disaster, and up to ten messages can be posted. When more than ten messages are posted, the oldest messages are overwritten in sequence.
  1. Will be displayed if the recipients' mail addresses have been registered beforehand.
  2. Will be displayed if a Disaster Message Board Request Mail is received.

Step 5
Click "Link to the list of those who requested to receive messages from you" to display a list of people who wish to be notified.

How to post messages (Family Discount group members)

Step 1
[1] Select "Register Msg" Up to 10 messages can be posted.
  • When more than 10 messages are posted, the oldest messages are overwritten in sequence.
Step 2
[2] When posting a message for the first time, select whether or not you wish to have the posted message displayed on the mobile phones of your group members.
  • You can change details set later.
Step 3
[3] Select the status option that describes your current situation from the four displayed ("I'm okay" etc.), and enter any comments (optional) up to 100 full-size or 200 half-size characters.
  • Messages can be entered without selecting a status option. Also, multiple status options may be selected.

[4] All the "Send" check boxes are selected by default.
  • Messages will be saved until the service is deactivated for the individual disaster, and up to ten messages can be posted. When more than ten messages are posted, the oldest messages are overwritten in sequence.
  1. Will be displayed if the recipients' mail addresses are set beforehand.
  2. Will be displayed if there are Family Discount group members with i-mode subscriptions.
  3. Will be displayed if a Disaster Message Board Request Mail is received.

Step 5

How to Check Messages

How to check for messages using a mobile phone number

Step 1
[1] Select "Disaster Message Board" displayed at the top of the iMenu.
Step 2
[2] Select "Confirm Msg" from the Disaster Message Board.
Step 3
[3] Enter the mobile phone number of the person whose status you wish to confirm and then press the "Search" button.

If messages are posted

Step 4
[4] Select the message that you wish to see.
Step 5
[5] You can view the posted status and comments.

If messages are not posted

Step 4
[4] Press "Request" to request a message be posted.
Step 5
[5] The settings are complete. Depending on the recipient's settings, etc. the mail requesting a message be posted may not be received.

In the case a message is posted by another operator's subscriber number.

Step 4
[4] Persons can search other than Docomo by including a link to the other Operators (Company "A") Disaster Message Board.
Step 5
[5] Disaster Message board of other Operator (Company "A") will be displayed.
  • Packet communications charges apply when accessing to non-Docomo Disaster Message Board services.
If you select a list item on the Disaster Message board, You can confirm the message.

About searching for safety status information posted to J-anpi and Google Person Finder

You can search for safety status information posted to J-anpi provided by NTT Resonant and Google Person Finder provided by Google from DOCOMO Disaster Message Board Service.

Step 1
[1] Select "Confirm Msg" on the Disaster Message Board screen.
Step 2
[2] Enter the whole or part of the name of the person you wish to check on and select "Search".
Step 3
[3] The links of internet providers are displayed when any safety status information has been posted.
(The screen image shows an example when there is safety status information posted to J-anpi or Google Person Finder.)

[4] When you select the link of the internet providers of safety status information, you can check the information regarding the person's status.
(The screen image shows and an example when there is safety status information posted to J-anpi or Google Person Finder.)

  • This service is not available when J-anpi or Google Person Finder is not being provided.
  • Packet communications charges apply when viewing information posted to J-anpi or Google Person Finder.

How to check on Family Discount group members

Step 1
[1] Select "Disaster Message Board".
  • This will be displayed only when a large-scale disaster occurs.
Step 2
[2] Select "Confirm Safety of Family Discount Group Members".
  • Select "Confirm Msg" to check messages from people other than group members.
Step 3
[3] Select the phone number of the person that you wish to check on.
  • The person who posts information regarding his or her status can set when posting whether or not the phone number is displayed in the list for the party that is checking.
Step 4
[4] Select the information that you wish to check.
  • The latest information is displayed at the top of the screen.
Step 5
[5] You can check the information regarding the person's status.

How to Set Disaster Message Board Notification Mail Recipient Addresses

By i-mode

Step 1
[1] Select "Options" displayed at the top of the iMenu.
Step 2
[2] Select "Disaster Message Board Notification Mail Settings".
Step 3
[3] Enter the mail addresses of the people you wish to send your posted message to.
  • You can register up to five i-mode addresses and Internet mail addresses (including mail addresses for non-DOCOMO mobile phones).
Step 4
[4] When you press "Select", registration of the recipients is complete.

Via the Internet

You can set from My docomo on a PC with(Set and check i-mode).

  • A d ACCOUNT is required to use this. If you do not have a d ACCOUNT, you can acquire them using (New Registration) in My docomo. If you have forgotten your d ACCOUNT, you can have them reissued.
