Recovery Notice: NTT DOCOMO's Mobile Network and Optical Communication Lines Resume Normal Operation in Most Areas Following Heavy Rain

NTT DOCOMO is pleased to announce that its core mobile phone service has been restored and is now operating normally in most of the areas affected by the heavy rain as of 6:24 p.m. JST, Monday, July 20. (The optical communication service was restored and is operating normally in most areas since Friday, July 10)

Since the heavy rain, DOCOMO has been providing services in affected areas by means of temporary facilities, such as mobile base station cars, mobile power supply cars and electric generators. Some services in certain areas, however, may not yet be available.

DOCOMO apologizes for any inconvenience caused by the service disruption and sincerely appreciates everyone's patience and understanding as the company works to fully restore all services.
