DOCOMO Loyalty "d points" to be Useable at All McDonald's Stores in Japan

TOKYO, JAPAN, February 24, 2017 --- NTT DOCOMO, INC. and McDonald's Japan Co., Ltd. jointly announced today that customers will be able to accumulate and redeem DOCOMO loyalty "d points" at most (2,901*1) McDonald's stores in Japan from March 1*2. The service, after operating successfully on a test basis at some 100 McDonald's locations in Tokyo and all McDonald's stores in Fukuoka Prefecture, will now go nationwide.

Customers visiting McDonald's stores will be able to accumulate or redeem loyalty points by presenting their d cardTM, d card goldTM, d card prepaidTM or d point card. One d point, worth one yen, will be accumulated for every 100 yen spent. The points can be redeemed for purchases at McDonald's or other participating retailers, and retailers who accept payments via DOCOMO's "d Keitai-Barai PlusTM" program. The points also can be used to settle monthly DOCOMO bills or pay for new DOCOMO devices, online content or selected services.

As a special launch promotion, users will receive five d points for every 100 yen spent by presenting their d card, d card gold, d card prepaid or d point card between March 1 and May 31.

Also starting March 1, a free coupon for one McDonald's Premium Roast Coffee (small size) can be obtained simply by presenting one's d card, d card gold, d card prepaid or d point card at any McDonald's store. In addition, customers can receive an original, limited-edition d point card bearing a Big Mac Burger design at any McDonald's store. The coupons and d point cards will be available as long as supplies last at each store.

DOCOMO continues to enhance the usefulness of d points to make customers' lives increasingly affordable, enjoyable and convenient. McDonald's, based on its "Fun place to go" philosophy, continues to create distinctive new products, services and campaigns that only McDonald's can offer.
