iPhone and Apple Watch (GPS + Cellular) Pairing

A guide to configuring (pairing) the iPhone and Apple Watch (GPS + Cellular) devices.

Requirements

  • Prepare an iPhone 6/6 Plus (including iPhone SE) or later model with iOS 11 or later installed for an Apple Watch Series 3 and iOS 12 or later installed for an Apple Watch Series 4.
  • Verify that the iPhone's Bluetooth® is turned on.
  • Verify that the iPhone is connected to a Wi-Fi or LTE/3G network.

Instructions

  1. Turn the Apple Watch (GPS + Cellular) on.
  2. Open the Apple Watch App on the iPhone, and tap "Begin Pairing" on both the iPhone and Apple Watch (GPS + Cellular).
  3. Follow the instructions displayed and configure the settings.
  • Keep the iPhone and Apple Watch (GPS + Cellular) near each other while they are synchronized.
