FOMAコアネットワークパケット処理ノードxGSNの開発〜5.あとがき

本稿では、ドコモ網のAll-IP化の先駆けとして開発されたxGSNの導入背景、システム構成、新技術方式、ネットワーク構成の概要を述べた。特に、aTCA、CG-Linuxといった標準規格／オープンソフトを採用した汎用サーバによる交換ノードの開発は、世界の通信キャリアの中でもxGSNが最初の取組みである。今後のドコモ網内のIP化展開の中で新規に導入されていくノードにも適用できる共通プラットフォームの基礎となるものとして、xGSNソフトウェア、ハードウェアの改良を行っていく予定である。
