(the "Company") hereby announces the status of the Company's repurchase of its own shares conducted based on Article 156 (1) of the Companies Act as applied pursuant to Article 165 (3) of the Companies Act, and in accordance with the Company's Articles of Incorporation, as detailed below.

1. Class of shares: Common stock
2. Aggregate number of shares repurchased: 10,013,800 shares
3. Aggregate price of shares repurchased: 27,206,508,650 yen
4. Period for share repurchase: From May 2, 2016 to May 31, 2016
5. Method of repurchase: Purchase on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, including the repurchase on
   May 18, 2016 which was made through the Tokyo Stock Exchange Trading Network Off-Auction Own Share Repurchase Trading System (ToSTNeT-3)
   • Result of Stock Repurchase through Off-Auction Own Share Repurchase Trading (ToSTNet-3) of the Tokyo Stock Exchange as of May 18, 2016.

     • Aggregate number of shares repurchased: 9,021,000 shares
