DOCOMO to Partner with China Mobile to Offer TD-LTE Roaming in China
TOKYO, JAPAN, November 17, 2014 --- NTT DOCOMO, INC., a personalized mobile solutions provider for smarter living, announced today that it will offer Japan-based customers outbound roaming on the TD-LTE network of China Mobile Communications Corporation, the world's largest mobile operator by subscribers, on November 19.
DOCOMO will be the first Japanese mobile operator to offer TD-LTE roaming in China. DOCOMO subscribers with compatible handsets will be able to enjoy the max.150 Mbps extra-high-speed LTE network.
DOCOMO's international LTE roaming services now cover 27 countries and regions.
Going forward, DOCOMO plans to partner with mobile operators to ensure that DOCOMO customers can rely on its LTE roaming services while traveling abroad.
