TOKYO, JAPAN, September 2, 2003 --- NTT DoCoMo, Inc. and its eight regional subsidiaries announced today that they will carry over unused monthly dialing and communications allowances for up to two months beginning November 1, 2003.
Under the new billing service, any unused portion of the subscriber's allowance for voice and data ( mail and other packet transmissions) communications not used in a given month will be carried over for up to two months. The unused portion of the subscriber's allowance is scheduled to be noted on their monthly invoices. The service, called "Nikagetsu Kurikoshi" (two-month carry over), applies to all 2G and 3G subscribers, including those using the "FOMA Packet Pack" Discount or "Yu Yu Call" Discount Bonus System. Subscribers using the "Doccimo billing plan" are excluded.
The new billing service will take effect on November 1. No application is required, so customers already using mova or FOMA services will be automatically enrolled.
In line with official requirements, DoCoMo today notified the Ministry of Public Management, Home Affairs, Posts and Telecommunications of the new billing service.
