TOKYO, JAPAN, May 8, 2003 --- NTT DoCoMo, Inc. and its eight regional subsidiaries announced today that they will introduce a new mobile phone billing plan available for people with disabilities. The new plan, dubbed "Hearty Discount," will offer customers 50% off monthly and optional service fees. The plan will be available from September 1, 2003.
Mobile phones have become an inevitable tool for everyday life. Development of simple-to-operate mobile phones, issuance of invoices in Braille and establishment of DoCoMo shops with easy accessibility are just some of the other barrier-free measures the company has implemented.
DoCoMo will begin accepting applications at all sales channels from August 21.
