DYNAMIC EQUILIBRIUM OF LIFE

DYNAMIC EQUILIBRIUM OF LIFE is a pavilion produced by the biologist Dr. Shinichi Fukuoka, themed around "Quest of Life."

Inside the pavilion, a cylindrical 3D theater system called "Clathra" is installed, measuring 10 meters in diameter and 30 meters in circumference. Using approximately 320,000 LEDs, the dynamic equilibrium of life is expressed through a light installation, offering a condensed 10-minute experience of 3.8 billion years of life history. The pavilion provides an accessibility zone, ensuring that individuals with visual or hearing impairments can also experience the dynamic equilibrium. This zone creates a space where individuals can embrace the richness of the experience in their own unique ways.

At the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai venue, where both aesthetic integration and space constraints pose challenges, glass antennas that blend seamlessly into the surroundings have been installed indoors at the NTT Pavilion. These antennas enhance the mobile network coverage around the venue.

Currently, almost 100% of residential areas are covered by mobile networks, but this is not sufficient for non-residential areas such as remote islands and mountainous regions. Moreover, Japan is prone to natural disasters, which can damage communication networks. The use of non-terrestrial networks such as HAPS is expected for disaster preparedness and for industrial and other applications in non-residential areas, as well as for safety and security.

While HAPS can be flexibly deployed to areas in response to communication demand, there are also technical issues that need to be addressed before practical use, such as the limitations of equipment that can be installed on the aircraft. For this reason, we are promoting research and development efforts aimed at the early commercialization of HAPS communications services by 2026 and for their future sophistication.

DOCOMO has partnered with Tokyo Women's Medical University to develop a remote surgery support solution and has created a mobile vehicle designed to perform surgical procedures, known as the "Mobile Smart Treatment Room". This vehicle embodies a new concept where hospitals are brought directly to patients. During peacetime, it serves remote and underserved areas to reduce regional healthcare disparities, while in emergencies such as earthquakes, it promptly arrives in disaster-stricken areas to provide emergency medical treatment. During Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, the Mobile Smart Treatment Room was deployed in response to a request from the Japan Surgical Society to accommodate distinguished guests during the opening ceremony. It was equipped for procedures such as thoracotomy and laparotomy under general anesthesia, fully prepared with surgical devices, biomonitors, diagnostic equipment, and medications. Furthermore, the "Mobile Strategic Desk" was utilized to securely transmit real-time footage of the vehicle interior and medical equipment to remote physicians via 5G, contributing to enhanced collaboration within the medical team.

EXPO2025 Personal Agent is an app that analyzes and adapts to each individual's preferences and interests, providing tailored experiences and route suggestions. It also offers crowd levels and weather forecasts for the Expo venue.

1. Restore the extinct animals at the Expo site right in front of your eyes!
   By collecting and restoring fossils displayed at the Expo site, extinct animals will come to life before your eyes! You can experience it as if they actually appeared in front of you. (Many prehistoric creatures can be collected not only at the Expo site but also throughout Japan.)
2. Collect them in your picture book: Extinct animals and fossils can be collected in your picture book, letting you enjoy the thrill of collecting.
3. Learn while playing: The prehistoric creatures collected in your picture book can be restored at any time! Packed with information about prehistoric creatures, making learning fun and engaging.
4. Raise the extinct animals you have collected: You can raise some of the animals you have collected.

We will be providing share cycle ports for 50 electric-assist bicycles. Please use this service as a convenient way to visit the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai site. There are also more than 600 bike-sharing ports in Osaka City, making it an ideal option not only for accessing the venue but also for exploring the city.
